Well done to Mick in Peterpans in Airlie…!!.. What a fabulous range of events and accommodation he organized for us.. 2 adults (not so young in years, but young at heart), traveling with a 10 year old…!!
We needed to fill 10 days and called in quite late in the afternoon and Mick was assigned to our case!!.. He gave us his time (3 hours), his professionalism, he wit and his advise (based on our group)….all spot on!!!!..From Airlie, he booked us in on a day trip to daydream Island with a spot of snorkelling on the way… He also suggested a fabulous trip on the Camira Catamaran to the Whitsundays, Whitehaven beach.. more snorkelling and fabulous white sandy beaches.. fabulous lunch prepared while we played on the beach. He then suggested, Magnetic Island, Stayed in the huts in Bungalow bay..Koala Sanctuary… very different and very enjoyable..He organized our flights then to Cairns..Two ‘extreme’ rafting experiences with Raging Thunder…top class day.. Great staff,Funny, knowlegeable, highly recommended… beautiful scenery, experienced in a different way..Turtles, waterfalls, exotic butterflies and dragonflies … and then the rapids….absolutely fabulous!!
We stayed in Cascade Gardens.. (one night booked originally, but ended up extending for our duration, reasonable price, clean and had everything we needed for 5 nights stay. Mick booked us in with an Ocean Freedom… a smaller company than some of the others, but absolutely first class, one to one attention, all fabulous crew..We snorkelled, and also took an introductuary scuba dive… followed by a second one each (our ten year old was too young for that)…What can I say…. the creme of our trip so far… so much to see while in the safe care of the wonder staff of the Ocean Freedom (highly recommended!!!).. Both the Raging Thunder crew and the Ocean Freedom crew, did everything in their power to help make their event, the event of our trip… even our lives so far!!.. and both groups, guided us by sharing their love of ‘their’ natural environments, totally committed to conservation and preservation, whilst still giving us a great day…..
I know that most travelers do some or all of the above, but I do not think that we could have been better advised…. So well done….Mick from peterpans, Camira, Ocean Freedom and Raging Thunder….. Thank you for making our holiday, one we will never forget….
